AVIS : À LA SUITE DE LA DÉCLARATION DE L'ORGANISATION MONDIALE DE LA SANTÉ QUI QUALIFIE LA COVID-19 DE PANDÉMIE, LE PORT DE ST. JOHN'S SUSPENDRA POUR LE MOMENT LE TRAITEMENT DES HABILITATIONS DE SÉCURITÉ EN MATIÈRE DE TRANSPORT MARITIME ET DES LAISSEZ-PASSER DE ZONE RÉGLEMENTÉE. UNE PROLONGATION DE 90 JOURS A ÉTÉ ACCORDÉE AUX UTILISATEURS DU PORT QUI DÉTIENNENT UNE HABILITATION DE SÉCURITÉ EN MATIÈRE DE TRANSPORT MARITIME OU UN LAISSEZ-PASSER DE ZONE RÉGLEMENTÉE QUI ARRIVE À ÉCHÉANCE ENTRE LE 6 JUILLET 2020 ET LE 31 AOÛT 2020. TOUS LES LAISSEZ-PASSER POUR LE PORT SERONT TRAITÉS LORSQUE L'ON RECOMMENCERA À PRENDRE DES RENDEZ-VOUS.

Notice to applicants:

While COVID-19 remains a threat to Canadians’ health, the SJPA has suspended its walk-in application service at this time. Applicants will only be seen by appointment.

If you have scheduled an appointment, we want to ensure that every appropriate infection control, hygiene and physical distancing measure is in place to ensure the safety of our clients and staff.

Appointment Procedure

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment. Only one person will be permitted in the building per appointment.
  • Park in the SJPA designated visitors parking and stay in your vehicle.
  • Check-in with SJPA reception by calling 709-738-4782.
  • You will be asked several screening questions concerning COVID-19 prior to being granted permission to enter the building.
  • SJPA Reception will call you when it is your turn to enter the building.
  • You will enter the building at Water Street FRONT ENTRANCE ONLY.
  • Please sanitize your hands at the station in the porch and stand on a designated social distancing marker until SJPA staff greets you.
  • You will be provided with a mask that shall always be worn.
  • Please follow the arrows as you navigate through the building and be mindful not to touch surfaces as you move throughout.
  • Upon completion of the appointment, you will be directed to leave the building by the assigned exit door. For greater clarity, the exit door is NOT the door you entered at the beginning of your appointment.

This is a new experience for everyone so if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to let us know.

If you must cancel your appointment, we require 24 hours advanced notice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Payment Options:

At this time, we will not be accepting cash as a method of payment; however, you can pay for your Port pass by invoice or by debit/credit. We are providing “TAP” as a contactless payment method which is highly recommended.
