SJPA Launches New Brand Identity

For more than 500 years, the Port of St. John’s has been prized as one of the finest harbours in the world… ice-free, naturally sheltered and conveniently situated near the resource-rich Grand Banks and busy shipping lanes.

Today, after twenty years as a Canada Port Authority, we’re proud to announce the launch of our new brand identity which, as part of the ongoing evolution of the Port of St. John’s, includes a new logo, colours and font.

Our design goal was to reflect a modern look of the physical geography of the Port of St. John’s as a welcoming site for those returning to port - as they have for hundreds of years. Using simple shapes, our new logo offers an abstract depiction of the Narrows leading into the Port, from the sea to the rising sun. It also represents the energy of the vessels which pass in and out of the Port – inspired by movement, the Port of St. John’s is never at a standstill.
